Our Model Motocross riders, Jake Young and Jevan Williams, repped 250 again this year at the Welsh 2 Day. They collated some pics for us and Jake even gave us a short lowdown on their experience over the 2 days....
Was great to get back for our second year at the international welsh 2 day enduro. Knowing a lot more about the 8 hours and 150miles a day we would be riding. Weather was spot on at almost 30c for the 2 days, accept that it caused serious amounts of dust. Bit scary being in top gear along fire roads following just the brake light of the rider in front. But we managed to keep it on 2 wheels (most of the time).
Day one went perfectly but sadly day 2 there was a few serious accidents which meant about a third of the route was cut out. I managed to finish day 1 in 3rd in and 5th day 2 for overall 4th in experts e3. Annoyingly my 250 team mate Jevan had some transponder issues and didn’t get placed.
We still had a mega time riding with each other over some of the best land in the country. Can’t wait for next year!
